Barcelona is the capital of Catalonia, the second city on size and population after Madrid. Barcelona became popular after the Olympics in 1992. Barcelona especially involves with its more than 4 km of the magnificent beaches equipped with all necessary for excellent rest. The city is well-known for the climate, culture, art, music, history, a fashion, sports and inimitable individuality.

Whether for business or pleasure, a gastronomic visit or to see Gaudi´s feasts for the eyes, Barcelona really does have something for everyone: buildings that look like monsters in one glance and like they are melting in the next, restaurants offering unlimited all-you-can-eat seafood for very modest prices, nightlife which doesn’t stop and a plethora of bars. Ausias Marc prices from $127	Rooms: 2 Description: Our favorite apartment in the very heart of Barcelona, a stones throw from the Rambla and Placa de Catalunya, which is the centre of the restaurant and bar scene. In a renovated building with an elevator, the apartment has a lot of light, modern furniture and views over a lovely courtyard through large sliding windows. Sleeping up to 6 people, this apartment is great value for groups of 4 and above. Air conditioned throughout and also very comfortable. There is a "Holmes Place" gym downstairs for those who have membership. Other attractions in the area include the museum of Contemporary Art, the Picasso museum, the Gran Teatre de Liceu (the opera house), La Boqueria marketplace, and the Gothic Quarter with its museums and cathedral. This is a very affluent area of central Barcelona with an array of designer shops, bars and cafes. The apartment is immaculate, has 3 bedrooms and can sleep up to 6 people. Other attractions in the area include Gaudi's Casa Milá and Casa Battló, and you are about 15 minutes from the Gothic area which is dotted with restaurants and boasts the Cathedral as its centrepiece. Walking in the opposite direction for about 20 minutes will bring you to Gaudi's masterpiece: the Sagrada Familia, his famous unfinished cathedral. The apartment has central heating throughout. Borne Vivo prices from $127	Rooms: 2 Description: A gem of an apartment located in Barcelona´s hippest area which bustles with nightlife. Also very close to the sea, to Santa Maria del Mar, and just a few minutes (walking through Barcelona´s most restaurant dense area) to the Rambla. For many the location could not be better. The apartment itself consists of two bedrooms, each with two single beds, a bathroom and two WCs and a living/dining room/kitchen equipped with two double sofa beds. The kitchen is fully equipped, and the apartment is air conditioned throughout. Sleeps 4 to 6 in comfort, and can theoretically sleep up to 8.
