This apartment is located on 16 Nevsky prospect, corner with Bolshaya Morskaya street. The building makes one block away from famous Hermitage Museum and Winter Palace. In late XVIII c. it used to house a famous hotel "London" and accommodate foreign guests of Tsar family due to its closest location to the Winter Palace. Later in Pushkin times there was a "Grand English Shop" downstairs where numerous luxury products were sold, from English laces to gold jewelery, wines and food. Nicolas I and the Great Russian poet were frequent customers of that place. Nowadays the ground floor is occupied with the Italian Fashion Shop. The face side of the building has been recently renovated. Idea of proximity to the Winter Palace makes you feel as an Aristocrat.
